Heart Failure builds on the fundamentals of Diagnostic Cardiology. Through more complex cases, the emphasis is on recognition, diagnosis and treatment of cardiomyopathy, heartworm, endocarditis, and related diseases.

• Emphasis on clinical signs and problem-based case management
• Gain a solid knowledge of the differences between left, right and biventricular heart failure
• Develop advanced skills in cardiac auscultation, electrocardiography and thoracic radiography
• Introduction to the basics of echocardiography, jugular catheter placement, central venous pressure measurement and abdominocentesis
