Electronic Medical Records -- Increase Your Productivity By Going Digital
Web Seminar CD
This Web Seminar CD deals with the practicalities of Electronic Medical Records. Our presenter, Dr. John Bachman believes that going digital is not about software. It involves changing the way clinicians think and provide care.
He will present evidence that shows that the majority of clinicians in large groups over 50 have already "gone digital", but that small group practices are just beginning their acceleration of digital processes.
The first portion of this seminar will show the huge costs of maintaining a paper system. The second portion will discuss how using EMR significantly enhances the productivity of clinicians when combined with workflow restructuring. Finally, Dr. Bachman will discuss how to get started on implementing your own EMR solution.

John W. Bachman, M.D.
Dr. John Bachman is the Saunders Professor of Primary Care at The Mayo Foundation. He has a very active practice which is he is proud to say is completely paperless. Dr. Bachman's enthusiasm and compelling expertise in computing and patient computer dialogue has made him one of America's most sought after speakers on Electronic Medical Records (EMR). He lectures approximately 20 times yearly on the subject. His engagements range from intimate talks with staff members of physicians' offices to national plenary presentations on behalf of organizations such as the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.
Dr. Bachman often demonstrates his philosophies by visiting with local offices, observing staff practices and then communicating to his audiences what really happens in the work day of real-world physicians. His pragmatic style has changed views on Electronic Medical Records nationwide. And, his efforts have enhanced the accessibility and quality of EMR while improving their satisfaction ratings among the medical community.
